“The kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.”

(Matthew 25:1-4 NKJV)

King David describes the Word of God as a lamp to his feet and a light to his path. This concept was so powerful that David’s son Solomon would repeat the comparison calling the commandments a lamp and the Torah a light.

Modern society and the convenience of technology remove some of the impact from the wisdom of these statements. Light and lamps connected to electricity today require little effort, forethought, or preparation. Our paths are illuminated by artificial light that turns night into day at the flick of a switch. Lamps in the days of the Kings were fueled by oil. They were costly and fragile, and required constant tending. Light was kindled, lamps were precious, and oil was priceless.

Yeshua used the parable of the bridegroom to teach the importance of preparation. As the bride awaits the call that her bridegroom is approaching, she busies herself with preparations. Her lamps are tended, their wicks trimmed, and the gentle glow of light kindled. She assures she has enough oil to keep the lamp burning, watching carefully over the flame, staying ready at every hour, and listening expectantly for the sound of her beloved’s voice.

When King David, King Solomon, and Yeshua compare the Torah to a lamp, they are not just imparting the importance of light, but the understanding of preparation. The Torah was not a last minute thought, waiting like a light switch. The precepts of the LORD take tending, preparation, and practice to understand their application, and to enable the light to shine. You cannot pour the Torah into your life last minute, or at a moment of crisis. Like a bride awaiting the coming of her bridegroom, the light of Torah must be fueled, rekindled,  and tended vigilantly.

The bridegroom promises to come for his bride; the bride’s promise is to make herself ready, to have her lamp filled and her light shining brightly. As the bride focuses on her preparation, she hears the voice of the bridegroom. “The commandment is a lamp and the Torah a light…” Preparation involves kindling the lamp, the commands of the LORD, to bring the light of Torah to our path, and to rejoice at the voice of the Bridegroom coming for His bride.

The picture above is not the best but I had just a moment to take ONE picture in the whole 5 hours…we were CRAZY busy!  The poor gal in the picture was sorry for being “in the way” but I assured her it was all good!!!  Kindra is in the background helping someone with the Bio-Scan…SO MUCH FUN!!

I have to share the evening I had!  I just spend the last 5 hours with the MOST incredible women on this planet!!!  Seriously!  What fun to spend 5 hours sharing my oil-junkie-passion for my doTERRA!!!  I was able to hear testimony that gave me goose bumps from others ALREADY on the oils – things like “the oils have made my child seizure free” and “I have lost over 15 pounds JUST from taking the vitamins, nothing more” and “my pain is gone”, “my head aches are gone” — SUCH AMAZING TESTIMONY!  I love it!

This is my passion – to teach people WHY and HOW to use the oils to bring emotional healing, physical healing, mood management and so much more!  I am just in awe of Dr. Mitchell and his staff and all the volunteers and the blessed people that own Chancey’s Event Center…I am rambling but it was so much fun!!!

Thanks again for all of you and all you do!

Today, 5 years ago I lost my precious 17 year old.  At the time, loving her, I thought more of her as a rambunctious, adventurous, never-listening, doing-what-she-wants, hard-working teenager of mine.  We butted heads often BUT we always said “I Love You” — those three words have amazing power when spoken from your heart.  She was killed in an auto accident as she was on the side of the road, she was hit and killed instantly.  The doctors did not “pronounce” her dead until May 4th.  She was in the hands of Yahweh May 3rd.

Please take a moment today, just stop and look around ~ are you really sharing your heart?  Be kind to everyone – my daughter had a heart bigger than anyone I know.  She was always reaching out and helping those in need.  Smile often, just because.  She had a killer smile that would light up any room!

With all this said, I have to comment on her brothers and sisters.  They are all very much alike in these ways – they have compassion for people in need and they smile and it lights up every inch of my insides!  I have been blessed beyond anything I deserve to have the kids I do.  They are unique, yet they are family with ties that bind them whether they like it or not :)  I love you all to the moon, the stars and back again.

Much love to all of you as you walk through your day…be blessed in all you do.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.
I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not
die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven.
If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever”

(John 6:47-51 NKJV)

King David begins this section of Psalms 119 with the Hebrew word “forever”. Forever the word of the LORD is settled in heaven. The King confirms that there can be no contrary word, no objection or dispute, no turning back or void return of what God has established. Everything that the LORD spoke is and will come to pass. Heaven and earth exist at the word of God – His voice of creation. Mankind and all the living beings were formed by Him. The promises of God found in His Word likewise, are settled, established, affirmed, and guaranteed…forever!

In Hebrew, this concept is commonly expressed as, “forever and ever”. Much more than a simple repeat, “forever” connotes the eternal and everlasting fulfillment of God’s Word, while “ever” relays the present day reality of His Word being established and active!

Yeshua taught His disciples that He is the “living bread which came down from heaven”. Manna was the temporary provision of God in the wilderness that sustained His people daily – their daily bread and portion to nourish them in the present – the world of “ever”. As long as the Children of Israel were in the wilderness, the manna was ever present as bread from heaven.

Yeshua teaches that He is greater than the temporary manna. He is the “bread of life” – life which lasts “forever, and ever”. He is in the present world giving life to the eternal world. Yeshua is the source and Creator of all things. He upholds and sustains the present and every living being just as the manna nourished the Children of Israel. And He is the source of eternal life that we might live with Him forever. His Word – His promises, covenants, prophecy, and fulfillment – is settled in heaven and does not change nor can it be prevailed against. What He has spoken is, and is to come…Forever, and Ever!

Powerful, beautiful, best I have seen! Love this!

After searching the internet for all the different recipes for body butter I sort of put them in a pile and made my own. I love the smell of Cocoa Butter, I love the healing affects of Jojoba oil, I love Coconut oil…well, I love it all!  I should say, I love all the HEALTHY ingredients and I love that I can make this

So, here is what I did.

I put 1/2 cup Coconut Oil in the double boiler (already boiling) – it is recommended to heat this first.  Once that was melted, I added 1 cup Shea Butter.

When that seemed to be about melted I added 7 Cocoa Butter Waffers (I love the chocolaty smell of them!)

Almost melted!

Once it was all melted, I left it in the top part of my double boiler and put it in the fridge – to rush the cooling process.  I will let it cool a bit before adding my essential oils.

I let it sit in fridge for about 4 hours until it was pretty solid then I took the beaters to it… my whipping beater was not working anymore.  I added the oils you see in the picture…7 drops of each and 14 drops of Lavender.

When I was done mixing it…about 4-5 minutes I threw it back in the fridge…I have to get to my grandsons baseball game!

body butter 016

DONE!!!  The game was wonderful ~ came back and whipped it up again and it filled 7 small canning jars and SMELLS out of this world!  This is my “Sleepy Time Body Butter” so good for evening before bed application.  Very calming scent!

I love using Frankincense on my skin, especially my face.  I also love Coconut oil.  Well, I had some Coconut Oil left in the jar so I grabbed my whipper and whipped it up and added 10 drops of Frankincense Oil and 5 drops of Melaleuca Oil - VERY simple and WOW, my skin LOVES IT!!!

In this first picture I wanted to show you the whipping beater I used – I don’t know the “real” name for it but that works!  And it fit perfect in the coconut oil jar!

Here is a picture of the oils I used.   I use both these oils for many things and they were the perfect combination for my “face whip”!

body butter 009

I whipped it about 4 minutes and it got really frothy looking…very smooth!  I only need a very small amount!

body butter 010

Yes, this is one of my Velatta spatulas!  I knew they would come to good use eventually.

body butter 011

It does not take long to melt…once it is in your hand it starts melting.  At first it seems a bit greasy but absorbs nice into your skin…makes it VERY soft!
