I am finishing up my garden and wanted a bird bath so badly. I love the birds. They are fun to watch and listen to. I could do without the poop but when I water the garden I spray down the rocks and all that so no biggy! So, I went to a couple hardware stores in the area and HOLY MOLY…bird baths are EXPENSIVE! Way out of my budget.

Hmmmm. Good Will. I was sure to find something there! I did! See the picture below. I am guessing the thing I used was a serving platter of some sort. Made from aluminum. I paid $5.00 and had the plan to put it on a stump but when I was in the garden I noticed my branch and thought I would give it a try. I like it! If a really chubby bird lands on it, it may fall but that is okay…I will then get the stump!

One of my great, creative friends messaged me on facebook and said she used an oil pan and spray painted it and put it on a stump!  ANOTHER GREAT IDEA!
